We enjoyed a welcome rest day in Irkutsk where we caught up on laundry, bike maintenance, and Internet. In the afternoon we went for a walk to the Angara River passing through a large park in the center of the city. It was a Saturday and the park was busy with people selling arts and crafts, balloons for the kids, ice cream and other treats. A large stage was set up and a continual parade of dance troupes (many in traditional costumes) was entertaining the crowd.
