17SEP - As the sign shows we're closing in on Moscow. Today we had great roads, the M7, the entire day. What a treat.
We departed at 08:45 at 38 degrees but no rain, only the threat of rain. A couple of light sprinkles mid-day but no big deal.
We are now in Europe and have seen a mosque or three. As we continue West a number of cafes now spell 'Cafe' as well as in the Russian spelling. Also seeing more cars with EU plates.
Many folks come over and want to know about us. They also want their pictures taken with us and the bikes. One guy today insisted that his picture be taken wearing my helmet.
Somehow we gained two hours today. Not possible coming over from Ufa. I guess they can do what ever they like.
So, we arrived here at 15:00 local time or 17:00 Ufa time. We're now on Moscow time.
The Amaks Hotel is very nice. Somewhat similar to the GSR in Reno in that they have all sorts of things for the guests, including bowling. And we're taking a rest day here tomorrow.
