7SEP - Left this morning at 09:00 and the temperature was 34. Getting out of town M53 took us along a river for a few miles and heavy fog. It burned off and by Noon it reached 60, only to drop as the day progressed. We arrived here at 17:00 and it took nearly an hour to find the hotel (The first photo). Once off the highway all streets are dirt and its a game to not be eaten by a bathtub sized pot hole.
The hotel, the only one in town, was booked over the phone by the owner of the hotel we stayed at in Irkutsk. We need three rooms and turns out they only have two. The gal that runs the place found an apartment for Dave and me in what must be a former collective. (The second photo). 1,400 rubles and it even has a washing machine. Clothes are hung on the balcony to dry. Actually its a nice apartment once inside.
Tomorrow we'll hit the road for Krasnoyarsk at 08:00 be cause we want to visit the BMW Motorrad dealer there.
